Channel 4 News has unveiled a harrowing documentary called, “Make or Break Time: Educational Needs".
This report shines a glaring spotlight on the escalating crisis gripping our government, health services, and education sector - one that directly impacts the lives of our precious children with special educational needs.
In a week where the stark reality of our nation's educational and healthcare systems has been laid bare, we find ourselves at a critical juncture.
“We are at crisis point.
Education is grinding to a holt."
“We are at crisis point," reported one head teacher interviewed by Channel 4, "Education is grinding to a holt."
The landscape is shifting, and it's becoming increasingly evident that the needs of our children extend far beyond the boundaries and capabilities of traditional support structures.
What was once a niche concern, now looms ominously large; it feels as though an overwhelming majority of our children are clamouring for essential support, be it for their mental, emotional, physical, or psychological well-being.
According to Channel 4 over 1.5 million children in the U.K have special educational needs and this does not account for all those who have not applied for, or yet received, what they require.

Many families are waiting over 2 years for any support, often with one parent stopping work to stay at home with their child who is not provided for by school. For some this is also proving to be for as long as two years.
Parents are at breaking point.
The impact on ren is devastating.
This is not merely a statistical anomaly or a passing trend.
This is a clarion call for action, a rallying cry for parents to stand united, become more curious and look to understand why our children are struggling.
